In recent years, the robot systems combined with machine vision modules are more and more used in the automotive industry. MERASYS system SQAR uses optic cameras to control the presence and to measure the cordon geometry (width and height) as a real-time computer vision algorithm is proposed to extract training patterns and enable to control de quality of the robotised sealing cordons.

SQAR system uses Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) that have led to outstanding performance in this state-of-the-art visual sealing cordons recognition systems.
